if you want to hide a tree plant a forest

or where do you find the truth?

it's not really a modern question. and the same old answer is still the answer. we know the truth when we are confident in the conclusions reached by our own experience.

faith, belief, fear, and illusion have been instruments of channeling the truths acceptable by the ruling elite to the population at large since the beginning of civilization. one of the primary functions of churches, colleges and universities is to control information.  

all the information i have received in my lifetime has been approved by government agencies.

now the elite and government agencies that hold secrets, (information kept hidden), have been challenged by the emergence of the internet and the fact that they never really were able to control all information to begin with.  so if an agency is not able to keep information secret any longer, they need a new strategy. fear and illusion have been the tools most successful in modern times for controlling leaks.  the internet has given the public some power to leak secret information anomalously.

the emergence of researchers and journalist who are able to broadcast messages about leaks of secrets present a new problem to those who want to keep secrets. the owned media has amplified the message that labels these voices quacks. to challenge the message, they discredit the messenger. still the discredited voices have a loyal following, so the agencies keeping secrets have greatly accelerated their production of false lies and false secrets.

of course the false secrets muddy the water considerably.

amazingly the cia produces a film throwing responsibility for the JFK assassination on LBJ because polls showed some percentage of american citizens believe the cia planned and executed the assassination. better people believe lbj did it than the cia.  

as for the ordinary person, who did it is less important than the knowledge that the government lies to us.

the forest is planted to hide one tree, so which tree is being hidden? 

i don't care which one. i know one tree is the true secret. i know the forest is full of lies.

the knowledge that lies are everywhere may be enough to set us free. free from fear. free from illusion.
