i will be cancelling the paid subscriber option on my substack journal because Stripe will not provide me access to my Stripe dashboard without first setting up 2FA .
i don’t own a cell phone and don’t want to.
some of you have paid for a year but the year is not used up on your subscription, so Stripe will be sending you a refund on you subscription.
from here on, i will only provide free, subscriber, post to my substack journal and all my post will be free to every one.
subscribers who would like to will be able to contact me on my email or in comments and you may purcase paintings or poetry chap books from me directly.
if you live in Canada you may send me money in email .
comming soon . . .
i will be writing an essay about 2FA and the unfourtunate fact that disadvantged peole will not, (in the near future), be able to access their important govermnent web sits or portals, banks, or health records.
my prlimanary research has indicated that their are no concerns about dissadvantaged internet users. the main concern from the tech industry is security, implimentation, and staffing requirements for sites requireing 2FA. staffing requirements will likly be delt with by AI programs in the near future, so that is not a big concern.

What a crazy restrictive way of operating. Be that as it may, I have no plans on ever making my articles paid. I share my writing with whomever wants to read it.
of course theirs is not
I had to get a smartphone in 2020 or otherwise I wouldn't be able to freaking survive in this brave new world
now, it's hard for me to type there, etc etc, let me tell you-nobody cares.
one lady (I was trying to set an account to pay for some utilities, and there was no other way available to do it but by phone, with filling all the data there etc) was just plain rude. I'm telling her:
-can you please send same exact link to my email? it's very hard for me to fill all on the phone
-so go ask somebody's help.
Dude, I think, would I even share with you humiliating details of my difficulties, if I had someone next to me in that period in 2020?
Luckily, most people are not plain rude, but the results are often the same.
